Vintage Japanese Shimmering Black & Pink Metallic Floral Damask Haori Kimono Robe
This vintage Japanese shimmering black and pink metallic floral damask haori kimono robe dates from the Showa Period circa 1950s. It is made of a black silk crepe shimmering fleck fabric with a shiny metallic colorful pink peony floral damask weave pattern and a mon family crest woven design on the back neck. This unique Japanese haori short kimono robe style jacket has a white woven rope braided tie strap for closure on the front, kimono sleeves and is fully lined with a white silk damask weave woven floral pattern top inside. The kimono measures 30 inches long, with a 38 inch chest, 17 inch long kimono sleeves and is 50 inches wide across from sleeve to sleeve. It is in good condition, with only a small open seam on the back sleeve (see close-up). This is truly a wonderful piece of Japanese kimono wearable art!
