I have owned this Purinton Cookie jar (unmarked) for over 30 years and purchased it in PA.  I am downsizing my collectibles including Purinton, Watt and other pottery.  This cookie jar is approx. 9″ high and 6″ wide.   No chips or cracks–may have some factory defects–like little glazed over pock marks, dots or other glaze errors.  There is an area on the outside on one edge that looks like a small chip/nick/scratch, but is glazed over (see last photo).    Also note when on the wood surface, if you push it down, it appears the bottom is not quite even.  It does not tilt when sitting, it is sort of like a diner table–if you push down on it, it will tilt.  If placed on a doily, for example, this does not happen.  I had it on top of my kitchen cabinet so did not notice it until I took these pictures.   Buyer to pay within 3 days of auction’s end.  Thanks for bidding!  I ship insured.  Please pick the best shipping option for you–USPS priority or FED EX Home.
